Strul was a rock group that appeared in Halmstad, Halland County in Sweden during the late 1970s. The band's protagonist was the guitarist, songwriter and singer Martin Sternhufvud but the most famous member was Marie Fredriksson who later made his breakthrough as a solo artist and together with Per Gessle in duo Roxette. The band members changed frequently during its relatively short existence. The only one who has been constantly is Martin Sternhufvud. The drums were from the start of Stefan Dernbrandt who along with bassist Lennart "Led" Nilsson formed the first rhythm section. These were replaced by bassist Peter "Pedda" Nilsson and drummer Nils "Nisse Noise" von Mattern. At the same time guitarist Bo "Bosse" Söderström joined the band. These three, together with Martin Sternhufvud on vocals and rhythm guitar and Marie Fredriksson on vocals and electric piano participated in the recording of the band's only single and the two TV programs the band starred in. Guitarist Alf "Winnie" Bondesson was also a member of the band for a short time. The band released a single and starred in the TV shows "Rockcirkus" and "Fritt fram" in the 1981 before split up later that year.
