Pete Meyers

Originally from San Francisco, Pete was an actor before getting into radio, mostly in Ohio and New York. With the moniker "Mad Daddy" as he was known for his wild antics and publicity stunts he created quite a following during the 1950's in what would become the rock n roll era. Pete committed suicide October 4, 1968, the New York Times carried an obituary that said a note found near his body "indicated that Mr. Myers had been despondent over a plan to shift the time of his radio show."
