Dale Brodie Shroff

American big band trumpet player. He also played with Louie Kuhn and Hal Kemp. Born in Kansas on 8 October 1914. Died May 1976 (61 years old) Illinois. He attended the Kansas State College of Agriculture and Applied Science before becoming a professional musician. He died in a motor boat accident when the boat flipped over on the Mississippi River while the boat was carrying Russ Morgan's band across on their way to Batchtown, Illinois.
