Gary Smith (35)

American conductor and music educator, born 1942 in Mishawaka, Indiana. From 1976 to 1998 and again in 2004 he was Associate Director of Bands at the University of Illinois, where he conducted amoung other groups the nationally famous Marching Illini and taught marching band procedures and band arranging. As a consultant, guest conductor and clinician he has worked throughout the United States, Asia, Australia and Europe.
