Jean-Paul Barbier

French guitarist, bassist, banjo player. Jean-Paul was born in Besançon, France. A self taught musician, he enters the Laurent Pascal orchestra in the 70’s, sharing the night life with the last musicians of the « bals populaires ». The accordion, musette and the popular songs of Paris become determining factors in his career. Rock musician, composer for theater or music teacher for children, Jean-Paul Barbier remains a specialist of the popular music of Paris of the last century.
