Joan House

Big band singer who worked with bandleader Frankie Carle And His Orchestra. Niece of Frankie Carle. Joan wanted to become a band vocalist from a very young age. While still a child in Springfield, Massachusetts, she would play record after record of the leading orchestras, singing along during the instrumental choruses and harmonizing with the famous vocalists. She was featured on the Kate Smith Television Show. Joan also played the piano and practiced her hobby, pen and ink drawing.
