Alan Davey us a quite exceptional man. He Sang professionally for many years under the name "Dave Conway" both in the UK and around the world until one day his career was shattered with the news of a serious heart condition. So serious was his condition that the doctors only gave him six months to live. Alan's reaction was to carry on with a European tour, which was a success. Later doctors rewarded him with the news that he was suitable for a heart transplant. November 1985, the operation was a success. As a gratitude to the surgeons and other staff he recorded the album "Songs From The Heart", where all proceeds went to the Papworth Hospital.
