Gheorghe Iancu

Gheorghe Iancu (December 21, 1956 Bucharest, Romania) is a Romanian naturalized italian dancer and choreographer. He trained professionally in Bucharest with Constantin Marinescu for the classic preparation, Miriam Răducanu for the modern and contemporary one. He also specialized with the Semionov masters of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow and Omrihin of the Kirov Theater in St. Petersburg. Still a pupil, he won two medals at the Varna international competition. The first company he collaborates with is the Compagnia Cosi – Ştefanescu but his consecration takes place thanks to the meeting with Carla Fracci. Together they make an important artistic bond, dancing in the major Italian and world theaters: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Covent Garden in London, Bolshoi Theater, Berlin Opera, Opera in Rome, Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Arena in Verona, Theater of San Carlo of Naples, Colón Theater of Buenos Aires, Opera of Monte Carlo, Salle Playel of Paris, Opera of Rio de Janeiro, Spoleto Festival, Teatro Massimo of Palermo, to name a few.
