He was the founder of the New York Brass Quintet and for over 30 years performed across the US and Europe. As a composer he wrote for orchestra, chamber music, trumpet method books, and arranged solo and ensemble music. He studied trumpet with [a10001164] of the Boston Symphony and composition with Aaron Copland. Born September 29, 1924 Freeland, Pennsylvania Died 2016.
