Guitarist and composer, born on September 23 1944 in Brinkley Arkansas. At a tender age, he and his family moved to Saint Louis Missouri. He has had a lengthy association with blues legend, Bennie Smith who mentored him from a very young age. Around 1963 / 1964, he played on a live recording by Ike & Tina Turner which was recorded at the Longhorn Ranch” in Dallas Forthwith Texas. By 1970, he was a member of Motherlode's new line up. He composed "Whippoorwil" which was the B side of their single "I'm So Glad You're You (And Not Me)". He was later in the Isaac Hayes Movement. Shinault also provided the music for Fred Williamson's 1976 film, Death Journey. The intro song for the film was a cover of "Do It Any Way You Wanna" which was originally done by People's Choice. in 2015, he recorded his album Taken care of Bizzness, (CDV Studios).
