Demi is a Film/TV/Media composer currently based in Austria. He began his musical career in 1995 mainly as a session musician (piano/keyboards) with several bands and orchestras on Classical music (Volos Philharmonic Orchestra), Standard Jazz & Blues (Jam Session Quintet/Sentimental Trio), Rock (Drapetes), Folk/Ethnic, as well as on Latin and Native American Music (Latin Spirit). During the ATHENS 2004 Summer Olympics, he participated along with Latin Spirit by performing on behalf of Olympic sponsors on several venues. As a member (main composer/keyboards) of the band "The Shadow Theory", they released their Prog. Rock album: "Behind The Black Veil" in November 2010 with InsideOut Music, and it was distributed globally by EMI Music. His songs: "Ein Schlaflied Der Feen" and "At Some Fair" were featured in "IMA (St. Pölten/Austria) WEIHNACHTSFEIER / A Midsummer Night´s Dream" Theatrical Play. On June 2017 his song: "Uneven Reflection" was released as part of a "Dramatic Underscore" compilation CD by Epitome Music. Demi began playing the piano at the age of four, while his first amateur compositions came much later, around 1990, through the once-legendary "Atari STe" computer. He graduated from the Panharmonia Priv. Music Institute of N.Demetrias in 1992 by completing the 6-year course in just one year's time, with excellence in Notation, Orchestration and Chamber Music. He usually invokes as his main musical influences, legendary artists and composers such as: Arnold Schoenberg, Dmitri Shostakovich, Vangelis, Frank Zappa, Ian Anderson, Robert Fripp, and a few others. Besides composing, Demi also works as an arranger/music producer and session-keyboardist, as well as a music teacher on: e-bass, drums, guitar/e-guitar, music technology, music theory, piano/keyboards, and vocal training.
