The Flintones

Danish Cliff Richard & The Shadows-inspired rock'n'roll band formed late 1961 in Copenhagen. Originally named The Flintstones after the TV cartoon, they changed their name to The Flintons when they discovered that an American band was recording as The Flintstones. Winning a local contest at Vesterbro Ungdomsgård in 1964 led to the groups only recordings that appeared on the compilation Pop I Top. On the cover, the name of the group was misspelled The Flintones. The group disbanded in 1964 when two of the members, bassist Gert Rostock Jensen and guitarist Torben Jahn Jensen, joined Henning Blegvads Orkester for a tour of Sweden.
