Choreography (source: Salzburger Landestheater) After private dance training, Paul Kribbe accompanied stars such as Tina Turner, Rita Moreno, Kim Wilde and Caterina Valente in numerous television and stage shows throughout Europe. He gained his first musical experiences in Holland. The role of Rum Tum Tugger in «Cats» Hamburg led Paul Kribbe to Germany in 1987. Immediately afterwards he was engaged for the role of Greaseball in the premiere cast of «Starlight Express» in Bochum. This was followed by leading roles in various musicals such as: «Rocky Horror Show» (Frank-n-Furter), «Elisabeth» (Death) and «West Side Story» (Tony). For the role of Don Quixote/Cervantes in «The Man from La Mancha», Paul Kribbe received the German Image Award for Musicals. He was highly acclaimed by Austrian critics for his portrayal of the pharaoh in «Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat» and the role of Che in «Evita». As the original cast of Roy Fire in «Miami Nights» (Düsseldorf), he had a decisive influence on this role. Paul Kribbe was also one of the stars in Peter Maffay's rock fairy tale «Tabaluga & Lili» (Song of the Moon). In 1991, Paul Kribbe founded Break-a-Leg Productions. The company deals with show productions in the broadest sense, for theater and television and in the trade fair/event area. Direction/choreography and concept development are among Paul Kribbe's main tasks in the company. Paul Kribbe has been working as a choreographer for television for over 30 years. His work includes programs such as: Wetten Dass, Schmidteinander, The Echo Awards, German Film Awards, German Comedy Awards, German Television Awards, Chart Show, Traumhochzeit, Let yourself be surprised, Anke Engels Show and many more. Most recently Paul Kribbe played the role of Lumière in Disney's «Beauty and the Beast» in Oberhausen and the Sheriff of Nothingham in «Robin Hood» in Berlin. He was seen as a juror on the Sat1 show «You can dance». He also worked as a performance coach at DSDS and as a guest lecturer for vocal interpretation at the Volkwang University in Essen. Paul Kribbe had his successful debut as a theater director in 2007 with Das Feuerwerk at the Aalto Theater in Essen. In 2009, the musical «Chess» followed at the same theater, where he directed and choreographed. In 2009 he choreographed the opera «Alessandro» at the Mannheim National Theater and in 2009 Paul Kribbe directed the musical «Cabaret» at the Bozen United Stages. In March 2010, the comedy Unter Vögeln, translated and directed by Paul Kribbe, had its premiere at Stratmann's Theater in Essen. At the Bad Hersfeld Summer Festival in 2010, Paul Kribbe appeared in the world premiere of «Carmen, a German Musical». In 2011 Paul Kribbe staged the rock musical «Tick tick…..Boom!!» by Jonathan Larsson for the Katielli Theater in Datteln. For 4 years he has been staging and choreographing Germany's most successful Christmas show/concert «Christmas Moments». In 2012 he successfully slipped into the role of the legendary Heinz Wäscher in Hape Kerkeling's musical «Kein Pardon» as the successor to Dirk Bach.
