Maria Lithell

Swedish composer, born March 21, 1965. She grew up in Snättringe and Vårberg south of Stockholm. She got her first singing job In high school, in the choir at the Stockholm Opera and then worked there for 11 years between 1986-1997. Between 1997-2001 she studied at the Stockholm School of Music. In 2005 she started her own company and in 2006 released her debut album Blessing and Curse where Fläskkvartetten, Sophie Rimheden and members from Hovkapellet participate. The single Here and Now was frequently played in Sweden's Radio P4 Riks and locally as well as P5. Between 2009-2014, Maria trained as a composer in contemporary art music at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. She has written choral, chamber and orchestral music
