'Pookiesnackenburger' is a sextet group of musical theater performers. They released two albums, "Pookie Beah Party" in 1982, and and the self titled "Pookiesnackenburger" album in 1985, along with a tie in 5 episode television show on UK public service television "Channel 4", for their second album. They formed in Brighton in the early 1980s, but disbanded shortly after their second album's release. Luke Cresswell, and member Steve McNicholas would later form "Yes/No People" in 1986. Pookiesnackenburger performed live on shows such as "No 73" {series 1.3, s1.8, s3.12, S5.10}, TopPop, The Krankies Klub {s1.4}, David Essex' Showcase {s1.1}, and the short lived 1985 BBC television show "Cabaret" {s1.1}. The Channel 4 TV special "An Evening for Nicaragua" {1983}. Each episode of their TV show "Pookiesnackenburger {in}" was centered around the theme featuring in at least one of the songs from their second album. The episodes were "Pop Go The Asteroids", "Hell Bent", "River Of Love", "Restoration Comics", and "School For Cool". With the "Music & Script, Written & Performed by Pookiesnackenburger".
