George Hyde Pownall

George Hyde Pownall (Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, 1866 – 24 January 1939) was an English painter, known for his depictions of London street scenes. He later emigrated to Australia, where he painted the then expanding city of Melbourne. He was also a musician in England and continued his musical career in Australia.
