Marilyn McLeod (Born: 1939 – Died: November 2021) was an American soul - jazz singer & songwriter. Born in Detroit, Michigan. She was a sister of Alice Coltrane, half-sister of Ernie Farrow, the aunt of Ravi Coltrane, and the maternal grandmother of Flying Lotus. McLeod spent her formative years as a Motown songwriter, with her main songwriting partner being Pam Sawyer. Together, they wrote hits such as "You Can't Turn Me Off (In the Middle of Turning Me On)" (US R&B #2, Pop #12) by High Inergy and Diana Ross' monster 1976 disco hit "Love Hangover."
