Lonnie Salazar

US-Canadian manager, producer, and record company executive (b. 1930 - d. 1992). Born in Denver, Colorado he started his career the US music business in 1949. In 1968 the ex-Marine left the business and moved to Canada with his family. After noticing an opportunity to promote Canadian music, in 1974 he started up a management/production company in Toronto called Big L Productions. Salazar purchased Marathon Music Inc. and the labels Marathon (3) and Condor (8) from Jack Boswell on August 15, 1975.
