Venezuelan popular singer (Caracas, Aug 25, 1924 - Caracas, Sept 16, 2014). The Encyclopaedia of Music in Venezuela of the Bigott Foundation states that: "In 1940, she started as a singer in Radio Estudios Universo under the pseudonym of Blanca Nieves. Possessing an expressive and soft voice in the nuances, she soon won over the public and undertook artistic tours throughout most of the national territory. Her career took her to visit other countries, such as Argentina, the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Cuba. In 1947, the Venezuelan magazine "Figuras de la Farándula" qualifies her as the best exponent of Latin American music. She recorded several LPs with the Orquesta Típica Nacional and the Conjunto Típico". She is the interpreter of the Aires Tachirenses record production, which includes the classic bambuco of her brother Luis Felipe Ramón Y Rivera: Brisas del Torbes. Her other brother, José Delfín Ramón y Rivera, served as the accompanying guitarist of Ofelia and was a musician of the Orquesta Típica Nacional.
