Bruno G. Ronty

A Polish‐born tenor vocalist who once sang leading roles at Moscow's Bolshoi Theater. 1st prize recipient of International Competition, USSR, 1940. President and executive of Colosseum Records, Inc., N. Y. since 1950 as well as Bruno Records. Releases were usually shared between the two companies and his name often appears in the liner notes. Ronty was also against paying royalties to "unfriendly countries", as such the music released through his labels were often from pirated/bootleg sources.
