Yamaha RX5

The Yamaha RX-5 is a digital sample-based drum machine introduced by Yamaha in 1986. While less popular than the R-8 or the iconic TR-808 and TR-909 machines today, it was Yamaha's flagship programmable drum computer in the mid-1980s. Yamaha RX5 has been used by a broad variety of musicians across genres, from American jazz pianists Dave and Don Grusin to Czech thrash/grind/"skate"-core band Czechcore S.R.K.
