American pianist and composer (born 1844, died October 16, 1884 in St. Joseph, Berrien, Michigan) O'Reardon was the originator of the musical glasses, music produced by rubbing the fingers about the rim of tumblers partially filled with water. He also composed a number of popular songs, including "Olympic Waltz" (1875), "The Dream Of Love Is O'ver" (1876), "The Langlois Brothers " (1876), "Marriage Bells" (1877), "The Summer Of Love" (1878), "Baby Died One Year Ago Today" (1879), "Bessie Is A Daisy" (1883, "The Nightingale Is Singing" (1883).
