Chilean bop drummer who built a large part of his career as a sideman and soloist in Mexico City since 1999, once he made his first weapons on the jazz circuits of Santiago and Concepción. Away from the Chilean scene, Puentes became one of the most active drummers in the Mexican capital, with an open membership in projects that allowed him, like very few Chilean jazz players, to perform in Europe and on the two North American coasts permanently.
