Italian bass player active especially in the pop-rock scene of the seventies and eighties. Donnarumma has recorded bass guitar on over 120 albums from 1973 to the present day; among the most important collaborations: Lucio Dalla, Mina, Giuni Russo, Alice, Milva, Giusto Pio, Ron, Loredana Bertè, Gianna Nannini, Marco Ferradini, Edoardo Bennato, Maurizio Arcieri, Bruno Lauzi, Demetrio Stratos, Cocciante and many others. Donnarumma's distinctive tone is attributable to his intense use of the alternate-picking technique; his main instrument is a Fender Precision Bass from the seventies.
