Armadillo Texas

Armadillo Texas was an underground band from Mainz. They existed in the late seventies to mid eighties. They played a mixture of progressive and funk rock and released an LP called "Huch!" (Oops!) in 1980. The band was very undiscovered for a long time, probably also because they never appeared in Schneeball lists, the only reference to the label is on the insert of the LP. They toured until 1985, but there is also a live recording from 1988 on the solo CD of guitarist Martin Wester "Wrobltschĕk". After the band split up, Arnulf Schmittlein played with the Alternative Rock band "Carlof", who released a CD. Martin Wester released some solo LPs and founded the "Klangraum" label.
