Mick Wood started out in his late teens as guitarist for a revamped version of Vancouver's metal band Midnight Vice. Wood later joined forces with Sandy Hazard to create Grandma Moses who tore up the Vancouver scene between 1991-1993, headlining clubs and becoming local favorites. Moses were finalists in CFOX FM 99's Vancouver Seeds competition and winning "Best Live Band" The group went on to appear in Metal Edge Magazine's Rock On The Rise column, but crashed and burned in the short time on the scene. In 2004 Perris Records would release Grandma Moses lost album "Tool Little Too Late" and the band would be featured in Sleazegrinders "Flash Metal Suicide" Wood later joined up with Hazard in 2014 to create punk n' roll band Dirtbag Republic. Dirtbag Republic has released 3 albums with Wood playing rhythm/lead guitars. Dirtbag Republic has received critical acclaim from Classic Rock Magazine, Vive Le' Rock, Powerplay, The Rock Pit, Sleazeroxx. The band recently signed a one album deal with Vanity Music Group with distribution from Sony Music Entertainment USA.
