Marie Macleod

British classical cellist & teacher of cello, born June 13, 1980. She graduated from The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama. She was appointed principal cellist of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013. She has performed as soloist with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra and Ulster Orchestra and with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, with which she performed Sir Edward Elgar’s "Cello Concerto" in 2016. She regularly performs in Konserthuset, Stockholm's chamber music series. Since 2004, she has also been a member of the Lendvai String Trio and the Aronowitz Ensemble. She has also collaborated for many years with Swedish pianist Martin Sturfält.
