Nadine Brown was a Jacksonville, Florida born soul singer, whose professional recording career started in 1977 with single 'Leave Me Alone' produced by Frederick Forsh, on Perfection Sound Studios label. She went to record two other singles 'Gypsy Man' b/w 'Let Me Take Back The Things I Said' for Awesome Records & Tapes (Miami, Florida).In 1982 Nadine was introduced to Manny Campbell (producer/writer) of Emandolynn Music via her record store dealer who knew her at the time, when Nadine lived in Smyrna Georgia (she owned a beauty salon at the time). They recorded only two songs, 'Sho Ain't Nothing With Love' b/w 'Your Love' under the Atlanta, Georgia based Coastal Records label (Manny Campbell's indie imprint) banner in 1983.Nadine Brown was often described as a soulful cross between Millie Jackson and Mavis Staples. No other professional recordings are known after, and tragically her life was cut short in 1988. when she was hit by a car as a pedestrian.
