Chris Edmonds (3)

Chris Edmonds was born in South Carolina and as a teen migrated to Georgia. He attended Lagrange College, got a degree in acting, won the Arnett Award for best actor, and wrote a musical performed numerous times by the school drama department. After a move to Atlanta, he founded, and was lead singer/songwriter for The Swinging Richards. They enjoyed success with some regional hits, national exposure with their videos, and appearing with some of the biggest names in Rock. Their live shows were always theplace to be. After The Swinging Richards, he formed Caesar Speaks. With a week of rehearsals and a dozen or so of new Edmonds compositions, they won a battle of the bands, landed an appearance and a couple of songs in a not very good movie called “Fast Food,” and started touring the southeast. Edmonds’ songs were being recognized and recorded by other artists and included on. Several radio compilation albums. Later, he would occasionally appear solo or with his own groups, playing shows from South by Southwest to the Bluebird Café. He continued to write and record. Afrer a recent three year stay in Nashville, he has returned home to record and releasehis first solo album, “Blue Flower Moon.”
