Fred Jarmon

Musician, composer and producer, born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 8, 1954 and died in Corpus Christi on November 3rd, 2011. Jarmon was a founding member of Austin, Texas band The Vanguards, playing with the group in the 1980s and early 1990s. He also toured with other groups and backed musicians including Ty Gavin and Ponty Bone. After he tired of the road, he moved back to Corpus Christi where he played music locally and opened a small recording studio. Brother of Spencer Jarmon.
