Adhemar de Campos is a Brazilian pastor, singer, musician and composer of Protestant music. His story is intertwined with the history of gospel music in Brazil, so much so that in the 1970s he was one of the only high-profile producers of Protestant songs. His songs and versions have marked Brazilian gospel music, and he was recently honored by the São Paulo City Council for his musical work. The musician is the creator of the Recycling the Vision seminar, founder of the Association of Christian Musicians of Brazil and author of several books. He currently works at the Comunidade Da Graça church in Vila Carrão, a neighborhood in the city of São Paulo. Adhemar is vice-president of AMC (Association of Christian Musicians of Brazil), author of approximately 800 songs and also versionist of more than 100 songs of North American origin and Hispanic languages, sung by exponents of Protestant music such as Don Moen, Ron Kenoly, Bob Fits, Paul Wilbur (United States), Marcos Witt (Mexico/United States of America) and Jorge Lozano (2) (Argentina). Adhemar de Campos' influence extends beyond the evangelical milieu. Padre Marcelo Rossi even re-recorded "Nosso General" in 2002.
