Angelo Rasmus Høgset

Baritone/Countertenor from Oslo, Norway Started his vocal studies with his father at a very young age and joined Oslo Cathedral boys choir at the age of nine. At the age of eleven he played parts in professional shows such as Les Miserables and Merlin. He has since then performed in several operas, oratorios, musicals and concerts both at home and abroad. In 2004 he played the the part of Young Angel in the contemporary composer Arne Nordheim´s opera Draumkvedet, which was realeased as a double CD in 2006. This recording was awarded a Grammy the same year. Angelo Rasmus has been a soloist in TV and radio programs and has toured Europe, USA and Japan. He did his professional training at the Royal Academy of Music in London, under the tutelage of Charles Brett and Paul Esswood.
