Kenny Bernard
Настоящее имя: Kenny Bernard
Об исполнителе:
British singer Kenny Bernard was part of Pye Records' relatively rarefied stable of soul singers during the mid-'60s. Beginning in 1965 with "The Tracker" (on which he was backed by the Wranglers and which, along with his later B-side "Hey Woman," has turned up on some U.K. freakbeat collections), he regaled British audiences with a half-dozen smooth soul-style singles, four for Pye, and then a pair of releases in 1967-1968 for British CBS, the last featuring his cover of Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come." Bernard never charted a record in England, but was later embraced by that country's Northern soul enthusiasts, who have turned his original Pye 45s into serious collector's items. There was never a Kenny Bernard LP, nor have his singles been compiled in one place (though there are enough of them between both labels for a 12-song CD).
