Peggy Tolk-Watkins

American artist, poet, and entrepeneur. Born November 21, 1921 in New York Died June 21, 1973. She studied photography under Arnold Eagle in Roosevelt’s National Youth Administration. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1945 and opened The Tin Angel on Sausalito's waterfront in 1948. It became a gathering place for noted jazz musicians and folk singers. She painted some album covers for musicians including Cal Tjader as well asThe Paul Desmond Quartet.
