Artist page of NHK Electronic Music Studio. NHK電子音楽スタジオ (NHK Electronic Music Studio) was founded in 1955 on the model of the Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk studio in Cologne, Germany. The first musical work by a composer seems to be that of Toshiro Mayuzumi from 1955: Music for sine-waves by proportion of Prime numbers, Music for modulated waves by proportion of Prime numbers, and Invention for square waves and sawtooth waves. Composers associated with the studio included Toshiro Mayuzumi, Minao Shibata, Joji Yuasa, Toshi Ichiyanagi, and Toru Takemitsu.
