Since created in 2011, Doctrine took his first steps in glitched dubstep and drum & bass, he's already reached a level he never thought he would and it doesn't look like he'll stop progressing any time soon. After releasing his 2 first EP's for free, his 3rd EP 'The Murder Collective' as well as his 4th 'Starlight EP' got signed on Heavy Artillery Records in 2012. His glitchy tracks have gotten a lot of support, ranging from uploads to YouTube channels as JesusDiedForDubstep, to features on leading websites Dubstep.net and Ministry of Sound, to airtime on High Rankin's radioshow 'Rankin Radio'. Late 2012, Doctrine's intrest in the 'neuro' side of drum & bass and EDM grew, incorporating elements of both first and second generation neurofunk as well as classic funk and jazz. His music is characterized by glitched, heavy hitting beats and breaks, atmospheric synths and instruments, rythmic grooves and an advanced bass design. He states his inspiration comes from EDM artists as Teknian, Culprate and Noisia as well as James Brown and even The Roots and early hiphop in general. Doctrine shared decks with the likes of Dubba Jonny, Trolley Snatcha, Mala and Dj Hype amongst others and is known to play higly energetic, heavy and yet dynamic liveshows. At the very end of 2012, Doctrine signed with Murdock's Radar Records, looking to release his best work yet. Working with a drum & bass legend, there is no telling where the adventure will go next. But with a love for music and a constant drive to do better, forward is the only way.
