American vocal group, popular in the 1950s and 1960s, performing mainly in nightclubs and television. Four brothers: Gary Crosby (2) (1933–1995), Phillip Crosby (1934–2004), Dennis Crosby (1934–1991) and Lindsay Crosby (1938–1989), sons of the popular singer and actor Bing Crosby (1903–1977) and his first wife Dixie Lee Crosby (1909–1952). At first, they sang in radio programs together with their father. The brothers later appeared on "The Phil Silvers Show" on November 14, 1958, and performed in Tucson, Arizona in 1959. They continued to perform with great popularity in places such as the Sahara Desert in Las Vegas and the El Morocco nightclub in Montreal. However, after one of the performances in December 1959, the brothers quarreled among themselves, and Gary Crosby left the group. Phillip, Dennis and Lindsay decided to pursue their careers without a brother. On February 29, 1960, they performed on "The Bing Crosby Show", and Bing took Gary's place in the show and sang "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho" with his sons. The Crosby Boys suspended their careers when Lindsay Crosby had an accident in Juárez, Mexico in July 1962, and had to spend several weeks in hospital.
