Warren Miller (Born, 30 April 1937, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died November 18, 2015, Virginia Beach, Virginia) His lifelong passion for radio and music began at age 13 when he started working for a radio station in Arlington Virginia. In addition to his work in radio advertising, including writing and producing commercials, he was also a guitar and country music performer. He was first to record under contract with United Artists. He made several appearances on Dick Clark's American Band Stand. His music, known as rock-a-billy, continues to have fans as far away as Western Europe. Warren moved to Virginia Beach in 1962 along with Marge & George Crump to start WCMS Country Music Radio Station. He later started the American Broadcasting School at WCMS, and D'Arcy Recording Label. Blending his radio and musical careers, he opened "Studio Center Corporation" in 1966. The first independent production facility between Washington D.C. and Charlotte N.C. Studio Center eventually had numerous studios from Norfolk VA. to Las Vegas, Nevada. He sold the business in 2004 and Studio Center continues to flourish to this day. He who founded D'Arcy Sound Studios and Studio Center, Norfolk, VA, as well as the labels Sounds International (3) and Nottingham Disc Co., and the publishing company Twenty Grand Music.
