Bluebob

BlueBOB (or BlueBob) is the duo of David Lynch and John Neff (2) ... Recorded over a 23-month period from 1998 to 2000 at Lynch's home studio, BlueBOB was originally an experiment by Lynch and Neff that evolved into a full-length album. At the time of release, the Bluebob.tv site stated "BlueBOB is a music idea based on the pounding machinery of the smokestack industry & the raw amplified birth of rock & roll. The music is inspired by machines, fire, smoke & electricity." Neff has described the style of BlueBOB as "factory rock" and "a combination of heavy metal and 1956-era rock 'n' roll" ; he considered BlueBOB's sound to be "dark music" due to Lynch's tendencies of writing several of the album's songs in minor keys and Neff often performing keyboards in lower octaves. Lynch wrote the lyrics to BlueBOB after all the music had been recorded. The duo also recorded the [r2094091] CD-single but not under the BlueBOB moniker.
