Robert Vernon (3)

Classical violist and music educator who served as principal viola of The Cleveland Orchestra from 1976 to 2016. In addition, he has appeared as soloist with various orchestras across the United States and has performed and taught at leading North American music festivals. He is a member of the faculty and co-chair of the viola department at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and serves on the Faculty at Kent/Blossom, the National Orchestral Institute in Maryland, the New World Symphony Orchestra, and the Encore School for Strings, and was a member of the viola faculty at The Juilliard School in New York.
