Nancy Carlen

American singer and producer (born September 20, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - died April 18, 2013) She attended Boston University where met the folk singer Joan Baez with whom founded and produced (along with Mimi Farina and Richard Farina) the Big Sur Folk Festival, which was held every year from 1964 to 1970 at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur and moved to the 'final year at the Monterey Fairgrounds in 1971. She worked for folksinger Judy Collins and produced the Joan Baez's European Tour in 1980 before leaving the world of music.
