Woman with a special talent. Born in Cuérigo in the council of Aller (Asturias, Spain), at the age of seventeen he entered the monastery of San Pelayo in Oviedo and was ordained as Sister Pilar. There in the convent of the Benedictine order, he learned music, guitar, organ and cultivated his privileged soprano voice. She liked to compose and it can be said without fear of falling into error, that she was the first Asturian singer-songwriter committed to [I]Asturian llingua[/I]. Asturian culture owes a great debt to her for all the work from her artistic vision she did to disseminate the [I]llingua[/I] of the Asturian community. Maybe it was undervalued? She was a woman, had been a nun and those who, due to their place in the culture, had to issue their opinion regarding their worth, surely they didn't even stop to listen to her. It would have well deserved recognition commensurate with its merits. Years later, he hung up his habits to return to Cuérigo and thus take care of his sick mother. This did not prevent her from continuing to compose and from being very active in community work, participating in choral groups and all without renouncing her faith. His last years of life he retired in solitude to his native home, until due to health problems he entered the CPR BELMONTE in Belmonte de Miranda (Asturias). Passed away on January 25, 2021, at age 86.
