Об исполнителе:
A doo-wop and R&B group from Los Angeles, California that formed in 1959 when members of The Valiants added several new members, renamed the group, and began to record under the direction of former A&R men Herb Alpert and Lou Adler. In 1960 Chester Pipkin's brother Gary Pipkin replaced Sheridan Spencer for just one single before the line-up turn back to the initial members. After initially issuing a few releases on Madison Records, Adler secured the group some studio sessions with Screen Gems, which subsequently proceeded to issue a few releases comprised of tracks recorded during the sessions without their knowledge under The Happy Tones name. In March of 1961, the group moved to the Liberty label and issued a few releases, upon which they renamed the group to The Electras (5).
