Joensuu City Orchestra

This orchestra from Joensuu (Finland) has been founded at the 9th November of 1953 and is now a youthful 36-piece orchestra which also toured abroad. The first conductur was Pekka Haapasalo who worked with Joensuu City Orchestra from the 1970ties till 1990. From 1990 till 1993 Juozas Domarkas was the conductor, in 1993 Atso Almila followed him and since 2000 Hannu Koivula is the conductor.
