Johnnie Eager

Canadian-British singer, dancer and actor who arrived in Britain from Toronto in 1938, aged 14. He was mostly active in the 1940s and 50s, often on recordings by the Sid Phillips Band. Born on 16 September 1924, he died in Los Angeles, California, on 8 September 1963, aged 38. He was survived by his wife, Beatrice, a sister, Patricia Franks, and parents Mr and Mrs Thomas Tanner. Johnnie also released records for Glad under the name Brad Mooney.
