Jacques Poustis

Jacques Poustis was born on April 22, 1949 in Clichy (France). Solicited for a post of specialist educator in La Reunion Island, he settled there in March 1974. It is there that he will taste the joys of the amateur theater in the band "Troupe des funambules du CRAC" animated by Patrick Pongahet His repertory of songs for larger ones allows him, in 1979, to be programmed by Daniel Colling in the second edition of "Les Printemps de Bourges" where he will assure the Grand Theater, alone with his guitar, the first part of the IMAGO group. Maurice Fau, associate of Daniel Colling in the direction of the Spring of Bourges, proposes to him to integrate the brand new stable "Listen if it rains" which already includes Jacques Higelin, Areski and Brigitte Fontaine. In 1981 he created a band for children : " Les 3 Moustiquaires ". The success is immediate, and " Les 3 Moustiquaires " nets scour the schools of Reunion and the outdoor shows. In 1985, he was again programmed at "Les Printemps de Bourges", but this time in the programming for young audience: Maximôme. He then settled in Paris to join in the evening 2 (and sometimes 3) cabarets of the left bank where the buds of the "song to texts" (notably Chez Georges Rue des Canettes, and the Bateau Ivre) ripen but also The small provincial halls. The French Cultural Centers abroad, the French Alliances and the French Institutes open to it at the same time for many tours around the world (Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Morocco, Algeria, Mali, Quebec, Switzerland, England, Brazil, Greece, Democratic Republic of Congo, China ...). In 1990, he decided to relocate to Réunion and share his life between the Indian Ocean and metropolitan France, according to the projects and tours that follow. In terms of young audience songs, it is regularly scheduled in the Metropolitan Festivals, which have the wind in their sails at the time: Carrefour d'Yzeure, Pré St Gervais, Tintinabulle ... and in Switzerland: "Festival de la chanson" D'Orbe, and "Trottinette" in Aigle. At the beginning of 1990, in La Réunion, he created with his comrade Roland Fontaine the band "Baba Cool" (which later became "La Troupe du Bistrac").
