Polish jazz drummer, bandleader (1952-2019). 1974 - member of the Jazz Carriers 1975 - worked with the "STU" theater from Cracow and moved to New York City 1989 - returned to Poland 1991 - played with Ewa Bem, founded the jazz band Quintessence (17) 1992 - the first Quintessence album was released 1992 - ranked first twice in Jazz Forum Magazine polls, first as drummer and then as author of the "Birthday" Album 2008 - received the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture from the Polish Ministry of Culture
