Jesse Jones (11)

US soul producer, label owner, born in Atlanta in January of 1931. Before Jesse moved back to his native Atlanta, Georgia, USA, he had spent 5 years in Los Angeles working for Lee Rupe’s Ebb outfit and running his own Lita, Morocco, and 4 J Records ( Jesse James Jones, Jr) labels. He owned the Atlanta labels, Super Sound Records, Inc., Note Records and Trager Records / Tragar Records. Jones returned to Los Angeles and opened a ceramics studio and lived a simpler, though admittedly happier life before finally owning the short lived Adventure One.
