عمر سرميني

Omar Sarmini is a Syrian vocalist. He was born in Al-Aqaba in Aleppo in 1962. He studied Quran recitation and the rules of Tajwid under Shikh Ahmad Adlabi. He also studied muwashahat with Nadeem Aldarwish and the oud with Muhammad Qassas in the Arab institute of music in Aleppo. Omar Sarmini dedicated himself to the performance of Old tarab musical forms such as the "daur", the "muwashah" the "qasida" and "Aleppo qadds". He is also well known for having performed with Ensemble Al-Kindî. He has performed in numerous concerts both in Syria and abroad including the fez spiritual music festival, al-Medina festival and the Carthage festival in Tunisia. He has also given concerts in the Arab world institute in Paris and in Spain. He has also given concerts in the Almadina stage in Paris and Opera in Brazil. He has also given concerts in the many festival in Europe and America.
