Об исполнителе:
Art School formed in 1985 and took their name from a song by The Jam. ("Do what you want, cause this is the new Art School") The band delivered concise uptempo musical shots to the head and heart. They were constantly flyering and gigging pretty much anywhere that would have them, and their graffitti-ed name appeared on nearly every overpass in Toledo for a several-year period. Raw, ragged, alcohol-fueled, hard-charging and gloriously melodic, the strong songwriting, three-way harmonies, and unique playing styles of each member added up to an instantly recognizable sound. They released two full-length cassettes (Stupid And Young and No Pain...No Gain) and a 5-song vinyl EP, Art School released on Jim Cummer's Major Label Productions imprint, as well as doing countless weekend/weeklong tours of smoky dives and college bars, becoming well-acquainted with regional alcohol laws and hardwood floors throughout the midwest, south, and northeast. After breaking up in 1991, Wing and Finch move on to form the bizarre Vambo Marble Eye, subsequently relocating to Chicago.
